Old Hoffman Rare Selection - Brady & Brooks

Hoffman Rare Selection is a brand steeped in rich history, with direct ties to legendary brands Pappy Van Winkle & A.H Hirsch.

The first ever barrel to be selected for a single barrel pick of this brand, revived by Old Commonwealth Distllery, was selected by none other than Brooks Raley and Brady Johnson of BRBNFNDR, last year.

Palate: Deep and luxurious, velvety, sweet oak and dark chocolate. Dark luxardo cherry/raspberry reduction. Molasses, brown sugar, toasted and burnt sugars swirling together in a medium-heavy bodied bourbon that is one of the finest whiskeys we have ever tasted. This bottle puts Graham Slam, to shame. Double oaked in new char 3 Kelvin barrels, the magical things that these barrels do to whiskey, really shines on Old Hoffman. Absolute perfection in "dark sweet oak" character. Not bitterly tannic, not dessert sweet. The only word to describe it, is perfect.
